MARTINBOROUGH

ANNUAL BALL FOOTBALL CLUB GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Martinborough Football Club held its annual ball last night in the Town Hall. There was a very good attendance. The hall had been decorated in the Club colours, green and black. Udy’s orchestra supplied the music. Mr A. Beveridge ably carried out the duties of M.C.

A delicious supper was served by a hard-working ladies’ committee. The tables looked very effective with bowls spring flowers and greenery. Prior to the supper the Football Club members made a presentation to Mr Pat Ward of a travelling rug as a mark of appreciation of his work for the club.

The presentation of the junior championship cup was made by Mr T. Scott who congratulated the team on their fine effort. Mr E. McAlpine received the cup on behalf of the Club.
