THE DOORMAT
VARIOUS WAYS OF CLEANING. There are various ways of cleaning a doormat. Banging it on a wall or on the steps does not give such a good restilt as raising one end of the mat, while the other end is kept down by the foot, and then striking the back of the upraised half with a broad piece of wood or the back of a hand-brush. Then deal similarly with the other half of the mat.
