“LUCKY DIP”
OPERA HOUSE TUESDAY.
Those who would like a hint as to the best course to pursue when they are left with an elaborate party on their hands, but no guests, should not miss the opportunity of learning at the hands of Miss Jocelyn Betts and Mr J. M. Lawson in “Lucky Dip,” at the Opera House on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings of this week. Past experience of these players is sufficient assurance that their performance in “Lucky Dip” will be well up to professional standard. The assistance given by Mr Jim Claridge is said to give a sterling performance. Mrs T. Jordan and Mr Neal Irwin are associated in hilarious situations throughout the play, which they are reported as handling with naturalness and skill. All the other parts are suitably filled, Mrs Fred Price remaining, it is believed, the highlight of the play. Mrs Rich, the producer, states that the final rehearsal tonight is required only to give additional polish to an already finished performance, worthy of being placed before the most critics! audience. The box plans at Steele and Bull’s (Nimmo’s) are rapidly filling for both performances.
