CITY OF RUIN
HEROIC DEFENCE OF WARSAW. (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) BRUSSELS, September 15. A Warsaw correspondent of the “Independance Beige” describes a city of ruin and desolation. Many six-story buildings collapsed like a pack of cards. Funeral processions traverse the streets unceasingly. The courage of the soldiers is incredible, many of the wounded fighting desperately while awaiting medical aid, which is disorganised. LEMBERG ROAD CROSSED. (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) BERLIN, September 15. A communique confirms the crossing of the Lemberg-Lublin road.
