Daffodils in a garden in Durban South Africa, in spring this year afforded a unique sight for that part of the country. The daffodils, which were grown from bulbs taken from the garden of the late Sir Algernon Thomas in Mount Eden, bloomed in the garden of Mr A. E. Withiel Thomas. Sir Algernon’s youngest son. This is the first time that daffodils have been planted to grow and bloom in Durban.
