GOLF COMPETITIONS DRAW FOR LADIES GAMES. ("Times-Age” Special.) The following is the draw for the games to be played on the Taratahi links on Saturday by members of the ladies’ club: — Final for senior championship: Mrs C. C. Callender will play Miss Welch. In the semi -final of the junior cham- * pionship Miss M. Campbell will play Mrs R. T. Forbes, and Miss M. Smart will meet Mrs Murray. The draw for a medal round is as follows:—Miss C. Berrell v Mrs Colson; Mrs Candy v Mrs Ross; Mrs Moroney v Miss T. Anderson; Mrs Harrington v Mrs Riggs; Miss Knutson v Mrs M. Campbell; Miss Lamb v Miss I. Corlet; Miss Armstrong v Mrs R. N. Campbell;'Mrs Robinson v Miss Hamer; Miss V. Corlet v Mrs Gustofson; Miss Stevens v Mrs Bond; Miss Freer v Miss Peters; Mrs Goodin v Miss Lane. Misses Hamer and Freer will be in charge of the afternoon tea. MEN’S CONTESTS. The finals for the senior and junior club championships will be played as follows on the Taratahi links on Saturday next over 36 holes: —Senior: G. S. George v W. Moroney. Junior:' R. T. Forbes v J. V. Gustofson. ;z The draw for the final round of the club medal championship, is. as, under: From No 1 tee: R. Lawrence v L. H. Smart; Geo Brown v D. L. Taverner: R. W. Roydhouse v G. W| Hart; A. Lane v G. Ri'ggs; C. C. Callender v E. T. Beaven; W. Candy v J. Lawrence. The remaining members will arrange their own club partners, but must make way for players in the official draw. BABY CARNIVAL POSITION OF CANDIDATES. IN AID OF DALEFIELD BABY. ■ • There was a large attendance at the band room last evening when a card tournament was held in aid of the candidature of the Dalefield baby. The card winners were: Ladies, Mrs Edwards 1, Mrs Holland 2. Men, Mrs K. Hodder (acting) 1, Mrs J. Hicks (act- ■ ing) 2. Competitions were won by Mesdames Pinfold and R. Williams. A sumptuous supper was provided. Church Service. A Church of England service will be held at Longbush on Sunday when the Rev W. F. Stent will officiate. Cold Weather. , Heavy rain set in last night from the south and early this morning the hills were again covered low down with snow. In consequence the'-conditions are very cold. The Maungaraki ranges are clothed in a white mantle.
