SAVAGE BOMBING
OF ROUTE TO RUMANIAN FRONTIER MURDEROUS'.ONSLAUGHT ON FUGITIVES. TWO HUNDRED DEATHS IN ONE VILLAGE. (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) LONDON. September 13. Reuters report from the Polish-Ru-manian frontier that the German Air Force is desperately trying to cut Poland’s communications with Rumania. This means the ceaseless bombing and machine gunning of the railway and road leading from Lwow and Stanislawow to the frontier town of Snyatin. This road is littered with abandoned cars riddled with machine-gun bullets. Lwow has been heavily bombed during the last two days, factories, railway and houses suffering heavily Snyatin is reported to have been bombed and the station damaged. Seven bombs fell in the crowded market-place of a Jewish village near the frontier and killed 200 persons.
