Temperatures: Absolute shade maximum, 63.9 degrees on 29th (67.8); absolute shade minimum, 25.6 degrees on 7th (26.4). Thus the .range was 38.3 (41.4). Mean temperature for the month, 46.8 (46.8); absolute grass minimum, 17.8 on 3rd (18.4) average grass minimum, 29.6 (30.4) average at one foot underground, 43.9 (44.5).' Severest frost, 12.6 on night of 3rd (12.0). Days of frost, 12.6 on night of 3rd (12.0); days of frost (grass minimum 30.4 degrees Fahr or lower), 19 (18); of shade temperature below 32 degrees F., 6 (11); of gale, 3 (2).
