The Rome correspondent of the “New York Times” says that the French are rushing reinforcements to the FrancoItalian border. Materials and men arc massing in' northern Savoy, and in the Modane sector, at the entrance to the Mont Cenis tunnel.

General mobilisation will take at least a fortnight. The railways are under the command of the military authorities, and passenger trains are packed with reservists, some travelling for two or three days to reach their regiments. There are large concentrations of men, machine-guns, field guns, and small tanks near' Chambery, The station at Modane is packed with Yugoslavs travelling home.
