EARLY MORNING FIRE
ROOM DAMAGED AT CARTERTON. (“Tlmes-Agn** Special.) An alarm of fire sounded on the Carterton firebell at one o’clock this morning, the brigade being called to the residence of Mrs Skc|ley in Holloway Street, where it was found that there was a fire in a room in the south-western portion of the building. The fire appeared to have started on a dressing table, spreading up the wall and into the roof. The'brigade, with a hand pump put the lire out. The only damage was to the room itself.
