Beaulivre, who started first favourite, was the principal winner on the concluding day of the Wanganui Jockey Club’s spring meeting which was held on Saturday. The Debutante Two-year-old Stakes resulted in a good win for Indore, who also started favourite. Sunbeam, who scored in the Gonville Hack Hurdles, returned a good price, as did Lord Moutoa, the winner of the Moutoa Hack Handicap.

GUINEAS TO BEAULIVRE, HIGGIE HANDICAP WON BY SLY FOX. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, September 10. The spring meeting of the Wanganui Jockey Club concluded on Saturday in fine, bright weather and on a track in better order than on the first day. The feature was the brilliant win by Beaulivre in the Guineas, and the stable of A. Mclntosh, Gisborne, won the handicap double with Sly Fox and. Bloncie Princess. These latter two horses were engaged at Avondale but missed the acceptances. The first two-year-old race of the season was won by Indore. The attendance was good, but again affected by the petrol restrictions and the total put through for the day, £18,427 10s, was a decrease of £4292.
