FIRST MEETING OCTOBER 7. SUCCESSFUL SEASON ANTICIPATED Preparations are well in hand by the Wairarapa Coursing Club for the commencemen* of tin hare racing at Solway on October 7. In spite of travelling restrictions, a successful season : s anticipated, as there is a large increase in the numoer of dogs n Masterton district compared with last year, and this alone will ensure good entries. The plant is almost ready for operation and training will begin next week end. Mi’ E. K. Eastwood has been appointed, secretary in place of Mr L. M. Archer, who has resigned. Glowing tributes have been paid by members to the excellent services rendered to the club by Mr Archer, who has been voted an honorarium in recognition of his work.
