NAVY LEAGUE

MASTERTON BRANCH. CO-OPERATION IN WAR WORK. A well attended meeting of the committee of the Masterton branch of the Navy League was presided over by Mrs A. Caselberg (president). The following resolution was carried: “That the Masterton branch expresses its willingness to co-operate with the Wellington branch of the Navy League in any special war work they are undertaking should assistance be required.” Arrangements for Mr Darroch’s annual visit to the district schools was discussed and it was regretted that owing to the petrol restrictions it would not be possible to take him to many country schools. Mesdames A- Caselberg and W. Michael and Miss B. Vallance reported having attended a most .interesting lecture on China and Japan, given by Mr Heeley, tutor lecturer of the W.E.A.
