SWEEPING TOWARDS WARSAW Roads from City Clogged by Refugees EARLY DEPARTURE OF GOVERNMENT EXPECTED LAND AND AIR FIGHTING (By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.0 a.m.) ; NEW YORK, September 5 The United Press Warsaw correspondent says that artillery and machine-gun fire are heard in Warsaw, resulting in a belief that the opposing- forces are now near. All roads from the city are clogged by the evacuating pcpulace. It is expected that the Government will shortly depart to a destination which is not announced. The United I’Tess Berlin correspondent says it is officially announced that German aeroplanes, in combat between Warsawand Lodz, brought down eleven Polish planes. The German losses are not stated.
