MEN’S SECTIONS. PIRATES WIN CHAMPIONSHIP. The indoor basketball competition organised by the Y.M.C.A. during the past season has been brought to a close, Pirates winning the championship for the 1939 season. In the last game of the second round after a great struggle Reliance A team played a drawn game with Pirates and at a later date in the deciding game Reliance A proved the victors by 15 points to 10. Pirates being 3 points ahead in the championship the loss of this match made no difference to their chances of winning the championship. The Pirates team comprised the following players: S. Geary, J.
