MISS I. SCOTT

GUEST OF HONOUR. GATHERING AT SOLWAY COLLEGE Miss Ily Scott, whose marriage will take place shortly, was the guest of honour at an afternoon held at Solway College on Saturday by members of the Wairarapa branch of the Solway Old Girls’ Association. The president, Mrs. Eric Shaw, in presenting Miss Scott with a carved camphor wood box from the members, referred to her long association with the branch as secretary and extended the best wishes of members for her future happiness Miss Scott was also the recipient of a shoulder spray and a bouquet. During the afternoon a sweet box making competition was won by Mrs. Eric Shaw. Members were joined at afternoon tea by Miss Latham and the present students from Fiji. An interetsing and instructive halfhour was spent examining a collection of reproductions of the works of many great artists.
