MASTERTON CLUB. SINGLES NEARING COMPLETION. The Masterton Irjdoor Bowling Club’s singles competition is now nearing completion with only four players left in with two lives. Last week another game was played for the Park Ferns when the holders Mayes and Dixon (s), defeated McFarlane and Pickering (s), 25 to 15. The fixtures arranged for this week are as follow: —Tuesday, 7 p.m.: No. 1 Grantham v Heafps, No. 2, Dixon v Walker; 7.45 p.m., No. 1, Moore v Mayes, No. 2, R. Henson v Onion; 8.30 p.m. Finlayson v Hendry, No. 2, Mayes v Read (colts); 9.15 p.m., No. 1, Nuttall v Joyce; No. 2, Pickering v Leigh. Wednesday, 7 p.m., No. 1, Buckley v winner, Onion and Hearps; 7.45 p.m:, No. 1, Read v Roff; 8.30, No. 2, Park Ferns, Mayes, Dixon v Anstice, Finlayson. Further games for Wednesday will be made from Tuesday’s results. On Thursday a rinks competition will be. held between six or more teams, skips must hand in their teams to the secretary on Wednesday
