GOLF COMPETITIONS REDUCTIONS IN HANDICAPS. ("Times-Age” Special.) The first round of the consolation handicaps must be played by members of the Greytown Golf Club during the weekend. The draw is as follows:— . First Consolation Handicap: H. R. Feast v H. Keltie; T. Gold v C. L. Curtis; W. W. Tulley v G. F. Eagar. Second Consolation Handicap: W. Brown v L. Mead; K. Nix v W. Everett; A. G. Nisbet v A. B. Dunnett. Players are requested to arrange with their opponents on which day they will play, as any game not played will have to be forfeited. The following players have had their handicaps reduced: H. W. Feast to 5/4; Ray Ingley to 13/10; Eric Feast to 7/5; G. Te Whaiti to 20/15; E. Williams to 20/15; S. C. Sheddon to 21/16. Euchre Party. Last evening the Labour Party held a successful euchre party in the Fire Brigade Hall, a very enjoyable time being spent by those present. The winners for the evening were: Ladies, Mrs Harris 1, Mrs Smith 2; men, Mr Boyle 1, Mr Elliot 2. Hockey-Basketball Dance. The hockey and basketball combined dance was held last evening in the Odd Fellows’ Hall, Greytown. There was a good attendance and a happy atmosphere prevailed. The takings amounted to £4 12s 6d. The music for the dancing was supplied by Mr S. Te Tau (piano) and Mr Robert Brice (drums). The M. C. for the evening was Mr G. Robinson. , Dairy Company. The annual meeting of suppliers to the Greytown Co-operative Dairy Company was held on Tuesday night, there being a large attendance. The following were elected directors; — Messrs O. A. Cadwallader, F. V. Kempton, A. M. Haighaed, H. W. Feast. Mr Cadwallader was re-elected chairman.
