ALFREDTON TALKIES

TOMORROW NIGHT. Tomorrow night at Alfredtdn the glorious technicolour picture, "Ebb Tide.” starring Oscar Homolka. Ray Milland and Frances Farmer, will be shown. The story is one of thrills, adventure and romance, dealing with three derelict sailors who set out from v a South Sea Island bound for Sydney > with a cargo of champagne. The drunkenness of the skipper brings on mutiny and an ultimate disclosure is that the champagne is falsely labelled and is nothing but clear water. Thrilling episodes are those which take this mysterious sailing vessel through a terrific typhoon, and thrilling, too, is their visit to a strange South Pacific Island —the home of a religious maniac. "Ebb Tide” is a grand picture for every type of audience, and exceptional praise must surely be forthcoming for Oscar Homolka, the brilliant Viennese star, who has an outstanding role.
