OPAKI
DANCE LAST NIGHT AN ENJOYABLE GATHERING. ("Times-Age” Special ) The Bachelors’ and Spinsters’ dance held in Cooper's Barn, Opaki, last night attracted a large attendance of dancers from the surrounding districts. Under the direction of Messrs Ron Crocker and F. Lambert, who acted as M.’sC., the proceedings went with a swing, the music being supplied by To Tau’s Orchestra. Much appreciated extras were played by Miss M. Cooper and Messrs H. Cooper and J. Blake (paino-accordion). Monte Carlo competitions were won by Miss Stevenson and Mr Ducket (waltz) and by Miss Wingate and partner (foxtrot). A ladies’ committee attended to the supper arrangements.
