FARMER—HODDER.

(“Times-Age” Special )

The wedding of Miss Loeta Constance Hodder, second daughter of Mr and Mrs P. Hodder, of Lincoln Road, Dalefield, and Mr Lawrence Edward Farmer, youngest son of Mr and Mrs T. Farmer of Greytown took place on Saturday evening at St Mark's Anglican Church, Carterton, the officiating clergyman being Rev W. F. Stent. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a, gown of parchment ivory satin, cut on classical, lines, with a beautiful tulle veil, which was held in position by a coronet of orange blossoms, falling gracefully over her beautiful gown and carried a lovely bouquet to tone. The veil was kindly lent by Mrs M. Ticehurst. The bride was attended by a close friend, Miss Ita Lipinski, who wore a gold figured lame frock with accessories and caried a bouquet to match. Mr R. G. Hodder, brother of the bride, attended in the capacity of best man.

After the ceremony at the church Mr and Mrs Farmer left amid showers of confetti and good wishes for the Dalefield Hall where the wedding festivities were held. About one hundred and fifty guests sat down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast. In front of the bride and bridegroom was a beautiful three-tier wedding cake made by the bride and elaborately decorated by a Carterton baker.

The bride’s mother received the guests in a navy costume with hat and accessories to tone, and carried a bouquet. The bridegroom's mother wore a wine ensemble and accessories and carried a bouquet to tone. The usual toasts were honoured enthusiastically. After the wedding festivities a dance was held in honour of the event, and a very pleasant time was spent by all.

Mr and Mrs Farmer were the recipients of a large number of costly and useful presents.
