Wilder and Miss Connely, of Waipukurau, are visitors to Masterton and are staying at the Hotel Midland. Miss Barbara Berney, of Auckland, and formerly of Eketahuna, is the guest of Mrs J. R. Palmerston North visitors to Masterton are Mr and Mrs Storey, who are arhong guests at the Empire Hotel. Mrs. J. S. Leith, of Wellington, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. P. H. Prescott, of Masterton, has returned home.
Mrs J. H. Jewitt, of Eketahuna, has as her guest Mrs Frobisher, of Trentham, a former member of the teaching staff of the Eketahuna District High School. Mr. and Mrs. G. S. At the Wellington competitions yesterday Miss Beulah Hirst, of Masterton, was second in the song in character (boy or girl 12 to 16 years of age) there being 25 entries. She was two points behind the winner.
