DILL TO BE INTRODUCED AGAIN. ANOTHER ROAD SAFETY MEASURE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tills Day. The Local Government (Amalgamation Schemes) Bill, the Municipal Association Bill and the TransportAmendment Bill received the approval, of the Government caucus yesterday and will be introduced in Parliament this session. "The fundamental principle underlying the Transport Amendment Bill is better control on the roads, and better enforcement aimed exclusively at giving greater safety on the highways.” said the Minister of Transport. Mr Semple, in an interview. Mr Semple added that he could not see anything controversial in the measure, because he was confident there could be no political warfare on a Bill that aimed at greater safety for the public. The Local Government (Amalgamation Schemes) Bill was introduced in Parliament over a year ago and referred to a special Parliamentary Committee which took evidence on it. The Municipal Association Bill effect to many of the remits carried by the Municipal Association conference.
