SECONDARY SCHOOLS TOURNEY. WAIRARAPA TWICE BEATEN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, August 22. Sunny spring weather prevailed for the continuation of the New Zealand secondary schools hockey tournament today. Though heavy rain last night made the ground sodden and playing conditions were rough, in general, play was fast and spectacular. Chief interest centred in the meeting of Auckland Grammar and Mt. Albert Schools, as the game also counted as a knockout in the Auckland third-grade competition. So evenly matched were the sides that the final score was twoall, and, playing extra time, it was 10 minutes before Grammar was awarded the winning penalty.

Other results were as follow: — Wellington College 2, Wanganui Technical College 0. Palmerston North High School 4, Wairarapa College 1. Stratford Technical High School 4, Gisborne High School 0. Wellington College 1, Palmerston North High School 0. Wanganui Technical College 4, Wairarapa College 3.
