Raison 79. 12, 91; O. Morgan 79, 12, 91; E. Bennett 75. 12. 87. GOLF COMPETITIONS BALFOUR BADGES. There was a full attendance of members on Saturday afternoon when a flag competition for Mr-F. C. Bunny’s trophy was played. The winner was N. McLeod, who carried the flag to the 19th green. Ray Ingley was a close second. ) Balfour Badges.—B. Kiernan and Ray Ingley successfully defended the badges against H. W. Feast and E. Williams. Ladies’ games: The winner of the Stableford competition for Mrs Gold’s trophy was Mrs C. Ingley. L.G.U. medals (4th round): Silver. —Mrs Thompson, score 89, handicap 14, total 75; Mrs Gold 95, 19. 76; Mrs Horner 90, 11, 79; Miss Nix 92, 12, 80; Miss E. Gregor 98, 18, 80. Bronze: Mrs C. Ingley, score 104, handicap 31, total 73; Mrs R. Ingley 102, 23. 79; Mrs G. Ingley 107, 25, 82; Miss M. Collier 107, 24, 83; Miss R. Collier 118, 25, 93. Championship competitions. —Next weekend a start will be made with the qualifying rounds for the championship. This will be played in three sections —senior, intermediate, and junior. BOWLING CLUB WORKING BEE ACTIVE. During the weekend a working bee did good work at the local green. Judging by the number who attended, the bowlers are already very keen. Hockey Games. At the Memorial Park on Saturday afternoon the Boy Scouts’ team continued their winning way by defeating Carterton by 7 goals to 2. The Greytown junior team lost to Wesley by 6 goals to 3. Personal. Mr and Mrs A. Nisbet are at present on a visit to Dunedin. Mr S. C. Sheddon is a competitor in the teachers' golf tournament which is being held at Wellington today.
