MOTORIST INJURED
CAR RUNS INTO STREET TREE
DRIVER TAKEN TO HOSPITAL.
As a result of injuries received in a motor-car accident in Masterton on Saturday' night. Mr A. C. Brown, of Norway Street. Wellington, was admitted to Masterton Hospital, suffering from scalp wounds. A passenger in the car escaped injury. It appears that Mr Brown was travelling south along Albert Street at 10.45 o’clock, when his car ran head-on into a tree on the right-hand side of the road. The car was severely damaged, the radiator being smashed right on to the engine, and the tree was partly uprooted.
Mr Brown’s condition this morning was reported as satisfactory.
