MASTERTON CLUB ACTIVITIES. DRAW FOR MONDAY NIGHT. JL.._ Interest in the game of chess in the Masterton. district is being well maintained, and enquiries concerning the game ancWthe Masterton Club’s activities, are still coming to hand. The club meets every Monday night at 7.30 o’clock in the Y.M.C.A. rooms. The committee is desirous of emphasising the desire of the club to encourage new members. Every assistance is offered to beginners and less experienced players to learn the game or improve their play. The draw for the sixth round of ladder games to be played next Monday night is as follows: —A. E. Clemas v. H. Glen; C. Clemas v. C. C. Judge; M. Cleghorn v. Pat Gilchrist; E. A. Heyder v. Mrs Glen; J. Shearer v.’ J. Pauling; N. Lamont v. R. Jamieson; Mrs Cartwright v. Ced. Clemas; Miss O. Clemas v. J. Cartwright; Mrs Lamont v. F. Shearer; N. Burke a bye.
