Hungarian and Rumanian border tension is growing. A Rumanian frontier guard was shot dead, another wounded and a third is missing, near the village of Salenta. A Rumanian communique claims that the guard was suddenly attacked while patrolling the frontier. One man was shot in the back, and the sergeant-in charge was attacked with bayonets and seriously injured. HUNGARIAN VERSION ALLEGED INVASION OF TERRITORY. (Received This Day, 12.45 p.m.) BUDAPEST. August 17. The Hungarian version of the frontier incident is that five Rumanians entered Hungarian territory and attacked Hungarians, who fired in selfdefence. Two were wounded, and the other taken prisoner.
