HADLOW SCHOOL

ANNUAL BOXING TOURNEY. CHAMPIONSHIP WINNERS. The annual boxing tournament of the Hadlow School. Masterton, held last evening, was one of the most successful ever held. Dr Graham Cowie and Mr Jack Logan acted as Judges and Mr W. G. Sellar as timekeeper. Messrs Arthur Morrison. John Coom and Bertram Bunny, who are old boys of the school, acted as seconds. The results were as follow:— Harold Beetham Cup for middleweight championship: N. Sievwright. Earle Riddiford Cup for most scientific boxer: P. Jury. Other results were: — Light-weight: Semifinals: Jury beat M. Poulton; G. Falloon beat W. Forbes. Final: G. Falloon beat P. Jury. Middle-weight: Semifinals: J. Godwin beat O. Prior; N. Sievwright beat R. Falloon. Final: N.. Sievwright beat J. Godwin. Heavy-weight: Semifinals: D. Cowper beat J. Perry; D. Adams beat G. Wilson. Final: D. Cowper beat D. Adams. There wore also a number of exhibition and non-championship bouts.
