SCHOOL RUGBY

TOURNEY AT MASTERTON VISITING TEAMS ARRIVE. WAIRARAPA MEET MANAWATU TOMORROW. Today the visiting Manawatu, Wanganui and Wellington Primary School Rugby teams, who are taking part in the annual quadrangular tournament, arrived in Masterton where they were billeted. Tomorrow the teams will weigh in at Memorial Park, Masterton, and at 10 a.m. the first game of the tournament between Wairarapa and Manawatu will take place, while at 11.15 Wanganui will meet Wellington.

Sunday will be a free day for the boys and on Monday, at 2.15 p.m. at Carterton, Wellington will play Wairarapa, while at 3.15 p.m. Wanganui meet Manawatu. The annual meeting of delegates will be held at- the Prince of Wales hotel, Masterton, on Tuesday night. On Tuesday the teams will assemble at the Y.M.C.A. for a visit to Waingawa at 10 o'clock and in the afternoon they will be taken for a motor trip by the Rotary. At Greytown on Wednesday afternoon, Manawatu will play Wellington and Wanganui will meet Wairarapa. At 5.30 p.m. the teams will attend » dinner at the Y.M.C.A. hall. On Thursday the teams will depart. The officials responsible for the organisation are Messrs J. F. Thompson, E. McKenzie, E. G. Coddington, J. A. Kennedy, O. V. Berry, F. H. Clift, FL M. Smith, V. A. Welch and M. M. Whimp. The hon surgeons are Dr N. H. Prior and Dr J. C. Forsyth. The referees will be Messrs H. Matson, W. Grantham, H. J. McKenzie, E. Grantham and C. Kendall.

The weight limit is Bst 71b and thirty minute spells will be played. The colours are: Manawatu, green and white, Wanganui, blue and black, Wellington, amber and black, Wairarapa, green.
