VISIT TO EXHIBITION
APPEAL TO MANUFACTURERS FOR SUPPORT. MADE BY MINISTER OF INDUSTRIES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. August 17. Over two hundred invited guests representing Chambers of Commerce, New Zealand manufacturers and importers’ agents from all parts of New Zealand were conducted round the exhibition this morning by the chairman of directors, Mr T. C. A. Hislop, the Mayor of Wellington. They expressed amazement at the extent of the Exhibition and the development of the Government and Dominion courts. Am appeal was made Mr Hislop, followed by the Minister of Industries and Commerce (the Hon D. G. Sullivan) for a fuller representation of New Zealand manufacturers in the displays. The Minister said a full representation of the manufactures of New Zealand was essential to the picture of New Zealand’s progress. He asked them to view the matter from a broad, national aspect. The co-operation of every manufacturer was needed to express gratitude for our heritage, i faith in ourselves today and belief ini ourselves for tomorrow.
