THE PONGAROA HOSPITAL. AMOUNT TO BE ADJUSTED LATER. A report submitted at today’s meeting of the Wairarapa Hospital Board by a committee consisting of Messrs H. H. Mawley (chairman), C. T. Richardson and H. Thomas regarding the subsidy to trie Pongaroa Hospital Committee for the year ending March .31. 1940. recommended that the subsidy be reduced from £.350 to £3OO. subject. however, to the amount of the subsidy being reviewed at December 31. 1939.

By that time the Hospital Committee would know the amount of fees received through the benefits of the Social Security Act, the chairman, Mr H. H. Mawley stated. He added that at that date the Social Security subsidy would be adjusted to meet the amount of the deficiency.
