Exposed by the scouring action of the tides, several pieces of old jagged iron, a reminder of the wreck of the steam trawler Muriel, were the object of great interest on the Sumner beach the other day. Their,, presence is viewed with alarm by members of the Sumner Life-Saving Club, who at-, tempted to remove the iron by digging away the covering sand with shovels. They were unsuccessful, however, and although the danger is not very great! at this time of the year there is said to be a very real danger if the ob-1 •itruction is not removed before the i Jpathing season.
