TERRIFIC EXPLOSION
SUPPOSED I.R.A. BOMB DUMP BLOWN UP AT COVENTRY. HOUSES ROCKED & WINDOWS SHATTERED. (Independent Cable Service.) (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, August 14. A shed on a vacant allotment, believed to be an I.R.A. bomb dump, was demolished by a terrific explosion at Coventry. Neighbouring houses rocked and hundreds of windows were shattered. Three men and two girls were seen running from the shed just prior to the explosion.
