DAIRY HERD

SALE AT GREYTOWN YESTERDAY. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report having held a sale of dairy stock on behalf of Mr Harold Bockett at Greytown yesterday. There was a fair attendance. The herd comprised pedigree Shorthorns and grade Shorthorns. The young, early calvers met with good competition, the P.B. stock making up to £l5 15s, and the best grades up to £l4. Late calvers were not in keen demand. Prices were considered most satisfactory, and there is still a very strong demand for the best cows, but they must be early calvers. A few sundries were offered and ma'de good values.
