DOMINION LIFE CUP RIVERSIDE BEAT BIDEFORD. A bogey competition played on Saturday resulted in the following cards being handed in:—H. Smith. 3 down; R. Falloon. 3 down; G. McKay. 3 down. H. Smith won on the toss. On Saturday the annual interclub match between the Riverside and Bideford clubs was played. Additional interest was attached to this match as the Dominion Life Cup was at stake between the first eights of each team. Bideford had won this cup from Mahunga but yesterday were defeated by Riverside by one match. The following are the results in this match. Bideford players being mentioned first in every case:--

Totals: Bideford, 6; Riverside, 20. In congratulating the Riverside Club on regaining the’eup, Mr C. Percy suggested that in order to keep the interest in the cup alive no club should hold it for more than one year but should then travel with it. In that way any match played between those clubs, i.e., Riverside, Mahunga and Bideford would be played with the cup at stake and therefore foster interest in the competition. Mr W. Palamontain, in responding to Mr Percy, concurred and congratulated his team on its play. He hoped that all matches would be played in the same friendly spirit in which this game and all games between the two clubs had been played.
MASTERTON BEATEN BY HUTT FIRST ANNUAL HOME AND HOME MATCH. MARGIN OF ELEVEN GAMES. The first of the annual home and home matches for this year between the Hutt and Masterton Golf Clubs was played on the Hutt links yesteidav, and resulted in a win for Hutt by 37 games to 26. with four games halved. . , The weather was fine, but a co ct southerly wind cramped players style in the morning. The fairways showed the effects of the recent severe weather, but the greens were in capital order. Hutt Avon the fourballs in the morn-. ing by 14 games to eight, and the singles in the afternoon by 23 games to 18. with four games halved.
