GOLF MATCH WIN FOR ALFREDTON. (“Times-Age" Special.) The Alfredton men’s golf team visited Pongaroa during the weekend and were successful in defeating the home team by 11 matches to 8. Following are the detailed results (Pongaroa players mentioned first in every case): McGregor lost to R. W. Kebbell; Theed lost to Burch; Cowper lost to R. Weston; Donovan beat G. Horton; Eunson beat Godinagh; Maymair beat C. Raleigh; L. Herbert beat J. Morrison; B. Robertson beat E. Morrison; C. Reid and Hislop all square; R. Scott lost to T. Smith; J. McLaren lost to E. Seymour; Wilks lost to A. Weston; Pickett lost to J. Parsonson; Thomas lost to D. Kebbell.

HECKLER CUP MATCH.
Playing at Tiraumea. Pongaroa were unsuccessful in their challenge against. Tiraumea for the Heckler Cup, the game ending in a scoreless draw. It is understood that a challenge has been lodged by Alfredton, who will meet Tiraumea next Saturday.
LADIES’ HOCKEY PONGAROA WIN CHAMPIONSHIP. The final match of the competition was played on Saturday, when Pongaroa won the championship, defeating Coast by 8 goals to 4. The sole selector. Mr Roy Scott, has announced the following team to meet Wairarapa, at Pongaroa next Saturday:
Backs: Misses R. Meech, I. McLaren. E. Wallis, I. Barker G. Harman and P. Moynihan. Forwards: Mrs A. Smith Misses N. Herbert. E. Moynihan, G. Yeoman and M. Willoughy. A junior team will play a curtainraiser against a visiting Wairarapa junior team. Personal. Mr and Mrs A. O. Ferrick, Wellington are visiting Pongaroa. Mr and Mrs R. C. Sathorly are visiting Wellington. Mr F. H. Dunham, of the local Post Office stall', has received word of his transfer to Eketahuna.
