INDOOR BOWLS
RESULTS AND FIXTURES. . The Masterton Indoor Bowling Club completed all the games of the progressive pairs contest last week. The issue was in doubt until the last game was played. Both Hendry and Joyce n the skips section had won four games and lost one, and played each other in their last game. Joyce defeated Hendry, thus winning the skips section and Onion with four and a half wins, won the leads section. The Colts singles and championship singles are now in progress. The following are the fixtures for this week. Tuesday, 7 p.m —No. 1 Dixon v Pinkney, No. 2, Walker v McFarlane; 7.45, No. 1, Hendry v Andrews, No.’ 2. Moore v Anstice. 8.30, No. 1, Roff v Miller, No. 2, Joyce v S. Henson, 9.15 p.m., No. 1 Fenton v Buckley, No. 2, Leigh v Drew. Wednesday, 7 p.m.—No. 1, Pickering v Heaps, No. 2 Nuttall v Stains, 7.45 No. 1 Edwards v Norman, No 2 Hanley v Lewis, 8.30, No. 1, Jansen v Mayes, No. 2, Park Ferns Challenge (R. Henson, Grantham (s), holders v Andrews, Ferguson (s), challengers), 9.15, No. 1, Read v winner, Walker and McFarlane.
On Thursday the club plays Carterton at Carterton. A bus will leave the club rooms promptly at 6.30 p.m. and members are requested to be punctual.
