GAMING CHARGE

PROSECUTION IN FEATHERSTON. RESULT OF POLICE VISIT. (“Times-Age" Special.) As the result of a visit paid to Featherston this morning by DetectiveSergeant W. Kane and Constable C. Reardon, of Masterton, who executed a search warrant under the Gaming Act, William Edward Jeffrey appeared later in the Magistrate’s Court before Mr T. E. Lang. J.P.. on a charge of conducting premises in Fox Street. Featherston as a common gaming house. Defendant was remanded on bail to appear at Featherston on August 23.
