COUNTY RATES

PAYMENTS ON DISCOUNT DAY. Masterton County rates received up to yesterday, the last day on which discount was allowed, totalled £12,470 out of a levy of £27.371. This works out at a percentage of 45.5, as compared with 53.4 per cent on the corresponding day last year, when £13,589 was collected by discount day out of a levy of £25,943.
