History Made by Padishah at Riccarton TRIPLE DEAD-HEAT IN ISLINGTON HANDICAP A. JENKINS RIDES THREE WINNERS (BY “CARBINE.”) As they passed the post in the Islington Handicap at Riccarton yesterday Lowenberg, Tidewaiter and Settlement were so close that the judge was unable to separate them and the race was declared a triple dead-heat. Considerable interest was centred round the Grand National Hurdles which Padishah, jumping carefully over the last fences, won. The three big events thus came to the North Island. After disappointing in the Winter Cup, Haughty Winner came out to win the August Handicap at a good price. Haughty Winner came with an amazing burst over the last stretch to head the leaders, Mishna and Tooley Street. A. Jenkins, of Masterton was in great form, riding [three winners.
