SITTING OF COURT ("Times-Age” Special.) Mr H. P. Lawry presided over the weekly sitting of the Greytown S.M. Court yesterday. Judgment by default was given as follows: —J. Keeshan v. R. G. Green, claim £lO 17s 6d. costs £2 17s; J. D. Morison v. L. Darke, claim £2 19s lOd, costs £1 3s Gd; Mark Maxton v. C. Rewi and K. Rewi, claim £2l 14s Bd, costs £4 9s fid; Estate of A. B. Balfour v. L. Ward, claim £3, costs £1 3s Cd. On a judgment summons W. White was ordered to pay J. T. Wilson £l6 16s at the rate of £1 per week, in default 14 days’ imprisonment. R. G. Green was ordered to pay Hill and Hughes £23 10s 5d at the rate of £1 per month, Wilfred Lanange was fined £1 with 12s costs for having driven a motor cycle without having a driver’s licence. Errol Mervyn Christian, for having failed to display the proper registration plates on his motor cycle was fined £1 with costs 10s, and for unlawfully carrying a pillion rider on a motor cycle was fined £1 with costs 10s.
Alexander Culley was fined £1 with costs 10s and Walter Robert Johnson £1 with costs 10s for having failed to carry warrants of fitness in their motor cars. Johnson was also fined 10s with 12s costs for not having a driver’s licence. Personal Items. The Rev. H. Odell, head of the Methodist Maori Mission, has been on a visit to Greytown. Mrs E. Richards has returned to her home in McMaster Street, after spending many weeks in the Greytown Hospital.
