MASTERTON CLUB MEETING. TWO INTERESTING ADDRESSES. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Young Farmers' Club was Rooms" last There was a fail’ attendance of members. W Young Farmers' Club regarding the annual ball. Arrangements for the annual dance were discussed. It was decided that a message of condolence be sent to the relatives of the late Mr J. McGovern. The speakers for the evening were Messrs W. Cooper and N. Blatchford. Mr Cooper gave a short talk on burnt lime versus carbonate of lime. Mr Blatchford, who spoke on fat lamb raising, pointed out the necessity of buying ewes suitable to the climate. Fat lambs for raising ewes and rams must be of good quality. The speakers were accorded a vote of thanks. Members are invited to a dance to be held in Cooper's Barn on August 15. A free bus will be run to the dance from Masterton. Supper brought the meeting to a close. The next meeting will be held on September 6 when Mr Bruce Levy will give a lantern lecture concerning his recent tour.
