COURSING
4 SIXTH MEETING OF SEASON ON SATURDAY. WATERLOO CUP TRIALS. On Saturday afternoon the Wairarapa Coursing Club will conduct the sixth meeting of the season when a 16 dog Maiden Stake and Cup Trials for dogs competing at the Waterloo meeting at Hastings will be held. The trials will provide an excellent opportunity for dogs running next week in the Waterloo Cup to have a final warm-up before leaving for Hawke’s Bay. % A good array of class greyhounds has been nominated in the Maiden. among them being Cardsharper, from Wellington who is also competing at Hastings. This dog ran particularly well at Akura last Saturday, showing a lot of pace in each of his runs. White Lie, who has run into the third round in each of her two starts this season, will be a good proposition on Saturday. She has speed above the average and is fast in her work. Trowle, who was runner-up last Saturday, should go close again. He is improving and will no doubt benefit from his previous efforts. The Trump, who has been spelling, should come out fresh. He has been the most consistent young dog this year and should run up to his previous form.
