KOPUARANGA

SOCIAL CLUB ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. ("Times-Age” Special.) The annual general meeting of the Kopuaranga Social Club was held in the hall on Monday night. The president, Mr S. J. Clarke, presided over a fair attendance. The balance sheet was presented by the secretary-treasurer, Mrs S. J. Clarke. Mr L. Donald’s resignation as joint secretary was accepted with regret and Mr C. P. Jarrett appointed to the vacancy. The club propose holding a dance in the Kopuaranga hall on Tuesday. August 22, at 8 p.m. The music will be supplied by J. West. It was decided to organise a gala day at a later date, the object being to raise enough funds to add a supper room to the hall. TABLE TENNIS MATCH A team representing the Masterton Winter Sports Club visited Kopuaranga on Saturday night to play table tennis with the local team. The visitors won by a comfortable margin. Mrs Jarrett extended a welcome to the Masterton team and Mr J. Haywood replied.
