A fine of £2O with costs was imposed in the Magistrate’s Court upon William Thomas Ogilvie, charged with acting as a member of the Grey County Council after he had become incapable of being a member of the council, by reason of being interested in certain contracts made by the council? Defendant pleaded guilty. The contracts concerned were for the supply of crushed metal. It was stated that Ogilvie acted as guarantor of the company supplying the metal.
