DEFENCE LEAGUE

INCREASE IN MEMBERSHIP DESIRED. MASTERTON BRANCH ACTIVITIES. A meeting of the Masterton branch executive of the New Zealand Defence League, held this morning, was addressed by the organiser. Major Reeves. Mr G. D. Wilson presided in the absence of the chairman, Mr T. Jordan. After hearing Major Reeves's address it was decided to hold a meeting of the branch next Monday evening to go fully into the question of ways and means to increase the membership of the branch with a view to assisting the Territorial forces in New Zealand.
