PLUNKET SOCIETY MONTHLY MEETING. ("Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Plunket Society was held yesterday afternoon. Mrs G. Yule presiding. There were also present Mesdames G. S. Sharp, R. S. Keenan. A. S. Kilsby. M. C. Turner, J. Willett, J. R. Matthews, V. Bergh, J. A. Halpin. Apologies were received from Mesdames R. W. Matthews, R. N. Barton, I. G. McKenzie, H. R. Bloxam, E. M. Wakely. R. Donald. A. R. Robbins, N. C. C. Shepherd and Arch Clark. The receipts since the last meeing amounted to £2 18s 9d. There is a credit balance at the Bank and P.O. Savings Bank of £B2B 14s lOd. The nurse reported as follows: — Number on books, 835; babies under supervision. 68; pre-school children, 36; new cases, 5; visits: rooms, adults 51, babies 47. children 3; homes, new cases 16. old 38; phone calls, 25. The districts visited were Featherston, South Featherston, Pukio, Pahautea, Kahutara, Cross Creek, Western Lake, Martinborough. Dyervilie, Lower Valley, Pirinoa and Ruamahanga.
Golf Competition.
An eclectic competition was played on the Gum Grove links on Wednesday and resulted: Miss Williams and Mi'S Benton 1, Miss M. Ruano and Mrs Davios 2.
