Speaking' in Argyllshire, the Dominions Secretary (Sir Thomas Inskip) declared that war was unlikely. “The Government,” he said, “has very good reasons for saying that. Scarcely a week passes without some new addition to our capacity to resist the dictators. Britain is the leader of the peace front. That is one of the reasons why war is unlikely. AIR EXERCISES BOTH SIDES PRAISED IN GERMANY. ATTACK FROM NORTH SEA IMPOSSIBLE. (Received This Day, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, August 3. “'The Times” Berlin correspondent states that the air exercises proved that aerial attack from the North Sea is impossible. Both attackers and attacked showed the greatest keenness. Reports seem uncertain which to praise more highly.
