PRICES REMAIN FIRM. A large yarding of good quality fat sheep met with keen competition at the Masterton stock sale today. There was a good attendance of buyers. Prices generally were on a par with ruling market rates. Some realisations were: —Fat wethers. 18s 8d; fat. ewes. 16s to 17s lOd: maiden ewes. 14s 6d; fat Southdown wethers. 18s Id.
